How to Set Up Your Payouts with Stripe
Stripe is the regulated payment processor we use to handle card payments and send payouts directly to your bank account or debit card. Gifts2Me never holds your funds; Stripe processes payments and sends money to you.
To receive gifts on Gifts2Me, you need to complete a one-time Stripe onboarding flow.
What you need before you start
- A valid email address and mobile phone number
- Your legal name, date of birth, and home address
- Tax information (such as SSN or tax ID where required)
- A bank account or debit card where you want payouts deposited
- If registering as a business: your legal business name, business address, and company tax ID (EIN, VAT, etc.)
Starting Stripe onboarding from Gifts2Me
- Log into Gifts2Me and go to Payout Settings in your creator dashboard.
- Click "Connect payouts with Stripe".
- A secure Stripe window or tab will open.
- Choose whether you are signing up as:
- Individual / Sole proprietor – most creators
- Company – only if you operate through a registered business and want payouts to that entity
Completing the Stripe form
- Email & phone verification: Stripe may send a code to verify your phone.
- Personal details: legal name, date of birth, home address, and in some countries part or all of your SSN / national ID.
- Business details (if applicable): business name, entity type, registered address, and company tax ID.
- Payout details: add a bank account or supported debit card where payouts will be deposited.
- Review & submit: confirm the details and submit the form.
When you finish, Stripe will send you back to Gifts2Me. Your payout status in Payout Settings should show as active or enabled once Stripe has accepted your information.
If Stripe asks for more information
- Sometimes Stripe needs extra verification such as an ID document or updated address.
- You might see a banner in your Stripe dashboard or receive an email from Stripe.
- Follow Stripe's instructions and upload the requested information.
- Payouts may be paused until the additional checks are completed.
Updating your payout details later
- Go to Payout Settings in Gifts2Me.
- Click the link to manage your Stripe account.
- From there you can update your bank account or debit card, address, and tax information.
- All sensitive financial data is stored by Stripe, not by Gifts2Me.
Quick FAQ
Do I need a business to receive payouts?
Most creators can register as an individual or sole proprietor. A company account is only required if you operate through a registered business and want payouts to that entity.
Why is Stripe asking for my ID?
Stripe is required to verify identity for regulatory and anti-fraud reasons. This helps keep payouts safe and compliant.
Does Gifts2Me see my bank account or card number?
No. Bank and card details are collected and stored by Stripe. Gifts2Me only sees high-level payout status and amounts.
